The short answer
Before delivery, choose a firm, level spot; clear a straight approach long enough for the truck and container; check overhead wires and branches; decide which way the doors face; and keep the area dry. Share photos with us and we'll confirm the plan.
Delivery-day checklist
- Firm, level, dry ground at the drop spot
- Clear, straight approach (about 60–75 ft for a 20ft, 100–120 ft for a 40ft)
- About 12 ft of width along the route
- No low wires, branches or roof overhangs
- Decide door direction and leave room to open them
- Move vehicles, trailers and equipment out of the way

Foundation options
A container doesn't need a poured slab. Compacted gravel, concrete pads, railroad ties or blocks under the four corners keep it level and off wet ground, which helps the doors work and slows rust.

Colorado weather
Spring mud, snow and freeze-thaw can soften ground and close rural roads. If conditions change, we'll talk with you about timing so the truck doesn't get stuck and the container lands level.
